Dr Matthew Garner is Associate Professor in Psychology and Medicine within Psychology at the University of Southampton.

His research focuses on cognitive and neural mechanisms involved in emotion processing and emotional disorders with emphasis on the anxiety disorders.  His work integrates methods from a range of perspectives including experimental cognitive psychology.  In this lecture you will learn about our emotional reactions to events, how we cope with mental health issues and how they are analysed and measured using neuroscience and psychology.
